Bijrani Zone is another popular tourism zone within the Jim Corbett National Park, located in the state of Uttarakhand in India. The zone is known for its dense forests, grasslands, and diverse wildlife, including tigers, leopards, elephants, and various species of birds. Amdanda gate situated very close to Ramnagar town – 30 Jeeps are permitted every morning & evening and can be booked well in advance – this was a famous shooting block during the British Raj days and has across section of Jungle roads best suited for Jungle Jeep Safaris.
Visitors can enjoy jeep safaris and elephant rides to explore the zone and observe the wildlife. Bijrani zone is also home to the Bijrani forest Lodge, which provides accommodation for visitors who want to stay overnight and experience the park’s natural beauty and wildlife up close.
How to reach Bijrani forest
The entry gate to Bijrani zone is Aamdanda gate, which is about 2 km. away from Ramnagar. After entering through Aamdanda gate, you cross about 5 km. of buffer zone before reaching the core area of Bijrani ecotourism zone.
Like the other zones within the park, visiting the Bijrani zone requires prior permission from the forest department and following strict guidelines and regulations to ensure the safety of both the visitors and the wildlife. It’s important to note that the Bijrani zone is closed during the monsoon season, from mid-June to mid-November, due to heavy rainfall and potential risks of landslides.
ACCOMMODATION
There are forest resting places in both Bijrani Zone and Mailani. ( with two single beds and four double beds ) Bijrani forest resting house has six rooms, Bijrani campus has its own restaurant, grasslands, dense jungles and huge water channels with abundance of flora and fauna.
Visitors can enjoy jeep safaris and elephant rides to explore the zone and observe the wildlife. Bijrani zone is also home to the Bijrani forest rest house, which provides accommodation for visitors who want to stay overnight and experience the park’s natural beauty and wildlife up close.

Manali Forest Rest House
The Mailani Forest Rest House has the facility of double bed with two rooms, the Mailani complex has its own restaurant, grasslands, dense forests and vast water channels with abundance of flora and fauna.
